World Computer Literacy Day is celebrated on 2nd December every year all over the world. The day is celebrated as the world computer literacy day to create awareness and drive digital literacy in various communities worldwide. Department of Computer Science has celebrated this day by engaging students of BCA-I, BCA-II, BCA-III and PGDCA. 5 Groups of 5 students each from the mentioned classes were formed namely Team 8 - BIT, Team DATA, Team SIGMA, Team ABACUS and Team TECH TITANS. These teams have visited Director’s office, Principal’s office, Vice Principal’s office, Library, College office, different classes and various Departments of the college and shared technical facts and knowledge with everyone. This sharing of information included different sections of computer in which each team member had explained one section and shared innovative facts of their respective section. The sections were:

  1. Introduction and Importance of Computer Literacy in new Normal
  1. Fun Facts about Computer World
  2. Frequently used Shortcut keys
  3. Full Forms of Abbreviations (e.g. - SIM, WINDOWS etc.)
  4. Computer Security Tips.
  5. New Upcoming Technologies
  6. AI (Artificial Intelligence) Tools

These type of events enormously helps in building interpersonal skills in the host students and in boosting their confidence and public speaking skills. The event was also useful in promoting the technological skills of the audience students and non-technical staff of the college. The faculties of Department of Computer Science worked hard to make the event successful.
